MOTORISTS in Hereford could be tempted from their vehicles for a day with an assortment of activities to promote environmentally friendly travel during the city's 'Car Free Day' next Monday.
The event, co-ordinated by Herefordshire Council's Green Transport Project, follows national TravelWise Week and is designed to promote sustainable travel. It is part of the Europe-wide 'In Town Without My Car Day' Initiative.
One of the main features of 'Car Free Day' is offered by First Bus Service, which will be promoting unlimited city-wide travel within Hereford for only £1 all day.
