A VERY successful season for the Eastnor Cricket Club youth section ended on Sunday when a retired U15 Colts IX, including some younger members, played against an XI comprising of parents, relatives and coaches in a 30 over per side game.
The result was a good win for the Youth Team by 131 runs to 87.
During the tea interval the club was pleased to welcome Ian Stoddard representing Ledbury Partnership-Community Pride Grants, and Richard Davis representing Ledbury Round Table who contributed £600 and £500 respectively towards the cost of a Tildenet Mobile Net and Cage. This had been used extensively for coaching the club's youth members during the season.
Eastnor U15s were runners-up in the Leadon Vale Youth Cricket League and were losing finalists in the league six-a-side. The U13s were runners up in the Leadon Vale Youth Cricket League, winners of the U13 six-a-side tournament and losing finalists in the Kington six-a-side tournament. The U11s were runners-up in the Eastern Division of the Herefordshire Youth League.
