The move of the news office from the Brightwells building at South Street, Leominster, is made necessary by the impending relocation of Brightwells staff to Easters Mart later this month.

Hereford Times editor Liz Griffin said: "We have had a long and happy association with Brightwells. They have been very accommodating landlords and their friendly staff have always made Hereford Times journalists very welcome.

"We wish them well in their big move."

Brightwells is embarking on major changes which include the relocation of both the South Street offices and the Leominster Fine Art Saleroom to the market site.

Lion House, a former coaching inn, was used as offices by council planning staff for more than 20 years. The building enters a new era following the relocation of the planning department to Hereford.

New tenants of Lion House include rural property agents John Amos & Co (first floor), the Sue Ryder Charity, Alan Bathurst financial director of John Bywater Transport Ltd and the Hereford Times (second floor, room 12).

A county newspaper depends on plenty of input from its readers and the many people who are active in a host of local organisations. The Leominster office of the Hereford Times is open Monday to Thursday and welcomes your calls.
