Hereford Veterans are through to the last 32 of the EHA Men's Veterans Cup after scheduled opponents Eastbourne conceded their second round tie.
Hereford will now entertain Shrewsbury in the third round on January 25.
The Hereford Vintage team, however, bowed out of their national cup after suffering a 5-2 defeat to Spencer from South-West London.
