I would like to thank the driver whose car went through our field hedge in Woonton on Wednesday, November 26.
I would like to thank them for reporting the incident, asking permission to tow the car away, for closing all of the gates behind them and offering some compensation for the damaged caused.
I would like to thank them but as you have probably guessed, they did none of the above and remain unknown.
This behaviour is further confirmation that we now live in the 20th Century which promises so much but where common manners and courtesy clearly do not exist.
