AN auction of promises at Dymock Parish Hall on November 7 raised £1,937.
Parish clerk Jenny Thick said: "The hall committee would like to thank auctioneer Chris Maulkin, who did such an excellent job, the people who attended and those who so generously donated goods and promises.
"As the hall card tables are very much of an uncertain old age, it has been decided to purchase ten dual-purpose tables which can be used for hall functions and can be adapted by the addition of special cloths to be used for cards."
