I'm not surprised that there are accidents at Newtown crossroads. Approaching at night from the Worcester direction when the garage is Closed, the junction seems to be totally unilluminated - except for a dazzling light within the garage which makes it difficult to see the bollards and the road markings at all clearly.
The same problem exists on Kings Hedges Road, where the street lights stop just short of the Weobley turn (but at least there are no bollards there to avoid).
