LYONSHALL Ladies Luncheon Club enjoyed lunch at The Hop Pole, Leominster, and afterwards held the annual meeting. Mrs Gwen Davies was appointed as chairman for the coming year. This was followed by Mr Alan Lloyd, of Kington, who took members through his school days at Brecon Grammar and recounted all the mischief he and his friends got up to. He remembered his grandfather with much love and affection, particularly his funeral at which women were not allowed to attend. He took members up the time of the birth of his son, David, who made a rather rapid entrance into the world.
