NEWENT Orchestral Society is gearing up for a festive celebration of music with the Cotswold Singers.
The two groups will be joining forces in a Christmas concert at Newent Memorial Hall.
The orchestra will be performing a mixture of classical and modern works, while the choir will sing a selection of choral music. Both will combine to play and sing Christmas carols, with which the audience is invited to join in.
The programme includes works by Lully, Pachelbel, Handel, Elgar and Khachaturian and will be conducted by George Taylor.
The performance is on Saturday, December 20, at 7.30pm. Tickets are £3 and £1. Part of the proceeds will go to Newent Disabled Association.
