Ledbury U14s played host to Cinderford U14s at Ross Road on Saturday.

LEDBURY U14S 25pts, CINDERFORD U14S 5pts

This special match was organised as a forerunner to the VP's lunch and the first team league game against Leamington.

Ledbury won the toss and kicked off wearing their new shirts sponsored by Watson Petroleum.

Cinderford dominated the first half with the superior size of their forwards resulting in four tries being scored. Ledbury came out in the second half and spurred on by a good crowd played with great determination. In a more even contest, both teams scored an unconverted try with Cinderford running out winners 25-5.

MALVERN U12s v LEDBURY U12s

MALVERN entertained Ledbury at Malvern on Sunday.

At the beginning the two teams seemed very equal, but Ledbury were more consistent in their forward play and in feeding the ball to the three-quarters.

Within five minutes Tom Coleman and Tom West produced runs for two tries; then Alex Bain forced his way through with power for a decisive try.

Malvern were solid in defence but spaces developed and Tom West, George Seed, Dominic Matthews and Tom Pinnell all scored.

Malvern continued to defend and tackle hard with Joe Wilks at the front being well supported.

The Malvern three-quarters tried hard to run the ball and Ryan Wilkins, Will Turner and Joe Hanson produced good ball and controlled passing.

However Ledbury ran out winners eventually by eight tries to nought, very much enjoyed by players and supporters alike.
