Ledbury parishoners have sent £100 for Mothers' Union projects in the Tanzanian link parish of Mtwara.
Rev John Lowe said: "It is likely to be used for a sewing machine and some fabrics, so that some of the members can make and sell school uniforms.
"It's a service to parents who need to buy the uniforms and a way of earning some money for those who make them."
Mr Lowe, who has visited Mtwara himself, said: "We are beginning to plan for the next visit from Mtwara to Ledbury in June.
"We are looking forward to hosting two visitors for about a fortnight. We will be looking for hosts to accommodate them or to welcome them for a meal."
