Bromyard Rugby Club donated £2,500 to charity at its second sportsman's dinner.
The event was held to honour the efforts and achievements of Andrew Lamb, a past chairman of the club, who played a big part in the formation of Bromyard Sports Foundation.
Mr Lamb and his wife Gillian have a special interest in the Acorns Children's Hospice, which Bromyard Rugby Club has nominated as its chosen charity for the next three years.
The £2,500 was presented by club president Clive Richards to hospice project manager Mike Cartledge.
A talk by guest speaker David Trick, an ex-Bath and England winger, followed the dinner. There was an auction and raffle and comedian Tony Jo performed.
Club committee member Mick Warren said: "More than 250 people had a hugely enjoyable evening and are looking forward to the next one."
