Colwall resumed normal service following their surprise defeat by Wootton Bassett with a 5-2 win against Badgers in Gloucester on Saturday.
BADGERS 2, COLWALL WHC 5
Colwall got off the a flying start with a goal from Gemma Richards, who struck a shot from the right which deflected into the goal from a defender's stick.
Coral Handley then scored her first, and Colwall's second with a well struck shot. Badgers fought back well, and scored twice from short corners to level the score. They would have gone into half time in the lead but for a goal line clearance from Jen Shail.
Colwall started strongly in the second half and Coral Handley scored her second goal with a classic chip over the outstretched keeper.
She completed her hat-trick with a hard shot drilled into the corner of the net, and finished her goal spree with a nudge past the keeper to make the score 5-2 and leave Colwall in second place in Severn Division Two.
Tomorrow (Saturday) Colwall play Blockley at Ledbury Leisure Centre starting at 2pm.
