THE next meeting of the Wyche & Colwall Horticultural Society will take place on Monday, February 2, at Colwall Village Hall. The speaker will be Timothy Walker whose subject will be Plant Hunting in Australia.
Tomorrow evening (Saturday) at 7.30pm in Colwall Village Hall, Colwall Players present an evening of jazz with a little blues and a little extra featuring Marilyn Middleton and Steve Mellor's Chicago Hoods with special guests Hilary Spencer and Grant Baynham. A concert for St Michael's Hospice will take place on Saturday, January 31, at 7.30pm at the Downs School given by Volante Strings and Carl Attwood. The programme includes the Mozart A major piano concerto K.414 and the rarely-heard piece Handel in the Strand by Percy Grainger as well as other works by Elgar, Corelli and Dag Wiren.
