A girls' soccer team from Newent Community School is to represent Hereford United in a regional tournament at Bristol Rovers' ground.
The team members have earned their honour by triumphing in the local rounds of the Predator Cup, which was organised by Adriono Girolami, the community officer of Hereford United.
The Under-13s football side beat the Kingstone squad on penalties in the quarter finals at Hereford Leisure Centre.
They went on to beat the John Kyrle High School on penalties in the semi-finals and won the final 1-0 against Monmouth Comprehensive.
June Edgell, the head of girls' PE at Newent Community School, said: "They have done really well, triumphing against five schools in total to get this far.
"At stake was the chance to represent Hereford United, which now they will do."
Team members include captain Chloe Limbreck, Libby Timney, Lucy Pegler, Jordan Whittington, Jenni Lister, Miriam Dean, Sam Montague, Molly Phelps and Katie Harns.
