Blackheath 4 Hinton 1
HINTON finished off their season in the West Midlands League Division 1 South with a disappointing away defeat to high-flying Blackheath.
Hinton are now assured of a top eight finish after finishing their programme with 39 points from 30 games.
The Hereford side started the stronger, however, and Ross Semple went close to opening the scoring when he fired over from a Mike Marsden knock-down.
It did not take the visitors long to break the deadlock and on the half-hour mark Gareth Meece smashed the ball into his own net from a John Williams cross.
Blackheath soon bounced back and just before the interval Stewart Hensman brought the scores level with a near-post header.
After the break, Blackheath took the initiative and Hensman fired in from 20 yards. Adrian Parkes then netted from close range and in stoppage time Hensman completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot.
