Two pairs of deeley boppers - the legacy of a great night out - stood out in the crowd during Race for Life on Sunday.
Best friends, Emma Nicholson and Helen Bambrough hadn't even been to bed before they took part in the event in celebration of Emma's gran and another pal.
Although the girls were in the final few to make it over the finishing line, they still managed to raise £150 between them.
Recovery
Helen, a student and a part time administrator, said: "My gran recovered from cancer 20 years ago. It is one in three people and it could be you or a member of your family - it is worth raising money for."
The pair, who believe they had ' a handicap due to the fact that they felt like death warmed up' felt considerably better after their good deed for the day.
So much so, they treated themselves to a fry-up at Sainsbury's, complete with their medals on pink ribbons.
