Hereford United manager Graham Turner turns his attention tonight to the team that smashed the Bulls' dreams of promotion to Coca-Cola League Two.

Third-placed Aldershot Town travel to Edgar Street less than five months after dumping United out of a controversial play-off semi-final on a penalty shoot-out.

The contest ended level after two drawn legs and Town stumbled into the final winning the shoot-out 4-2.

Hereford officials and supporters were aggrieved that afternoon when centre-half Andy Tretton was sent off in the 20th minute of the second leg for an innocuous tangle with Aaron McLean.

Boss Turner insists his players have wiped the play-off nightmare from their memory as they embark on another promotion push.

He said: "Last season's play-offs mean nothing to us anymore. We've made a lot of changes since then and Aldershot have done the same. It's all water under the bridge as far as I'm concerned.

"Aldershot have some very good players and they are naturally an attacking team. Unlike most sides, I expect them to come here and have a go at us."

United will be looking to make it back-to-back home victories after a narrow 1-0 success over Scarborough on Saturday.

Striker David Brown grabbed his first goal in front of the Edgar Street faithful this season, while Lee Mills turned in a good display after replacing Adam Stansfield.

Turner was pleased with his front pairing but saved special praise for on-loan goalkeeper Jonathan Gould.

He said: "It was pleasing to pick up three points but I don't think we played particularly well.

"Jonathan pulled off a couple of excellent saves in both halves to keep us in it. He has done extremely well for us.

"That was David's fourth goal of the season and it was important because we did not create a lot of chances.

"Lee did well in his first start for us. He's got a lot of energy and is good in the air. He can get a lot fitter and then we'll probably see the best of him."

Mills is likely to keep his place tonight (7.45) but Rob Purdie (ankle) and Ryan Green (abdomen) are out. Tamika Mkandawire is poised to figure after recovering from hamstring trouble.
