JOHN Trewick has been unveiled as the new first team coach at Hereford United.

The 47-year-old succeeds the influential Richard O'Kelly following his departure to Second Division Bournemouth.

Bulls boss Graham Turner returned to his old stamping ground at Wolves to secure Trewick's services and the new man brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to Edgar Street.

Trewick coached the U17s at Molineux but also enjoyed stints as first team coach at both West Brom and Derby County.

During his playing career Trewick notched up more than 450 league games for West Brom as well as spells with Newcastle United, Oxford United and Birmingham City.

"He is a UEFA 'A' licence holder and we believe that John has the right experience, qualification and personality to help us continue with the good standard of play and results we enjoyed last season," said Turner in a club statement.
