A KINGTON nursery threatened with closure has had a last-minute reprieve to keep it going over the next few months.
Herefordshire Council and SureStart have come up with £2,500 to run Arrows Childcare from January 4 to March 31.
Concerned parents heard of the temporary reprieve during a public meeting to its fate.
The chairman of Arrows Nursery, Kevin Dods, said the committee was cautiously optimistic that it can help provide the continuity of care for parents in the interim period.
"It is, however, subject to outstanding fees being paid by parents and a rapid response from all parents to confirm their need for places in January onwards This will allow the committee to determine the required staffing levels are met and sufficient places are available," he said.
