THANK YOU TO: The unknown unsung heroes of the night, including an off-duty paramedic who kept Billy's airways open, the delivery driver who put his coat on him to keep him warm, the emergency services for all they did, the two police-women who found us and drove us to hospital, the receptionist staff who tried to find out information, June from the children's ward for being with Billy throughout his stay at Hereford, all the emergency and intensive care staff at Hereford and the amazing nurses, doctors and consultants on the paediatric intensive care ward at Cardiff University Hospital.

Thank you to all the teams associated with Billy's recovery at Cardiff, such as neurosurgeons, neurologists, physiotherapy, speech therapy, dietitians, nurses from high dependency and the South wards.

Thank you to all the friends, relatives and strangers who prayed, sent cards, text messages and helped us through our hours of need. We are forever in your debt.

Thank you to the family who looked after Billy's brother unconditionally for such a long time, plus all the children, parents and staff from St Paul's School and church for the prayers, wishes and gifts.

And the grandparents for their untiring support at Billy's bedside.

STEVEN and ANNETTE HARRISON, Eign Road, Hereford.
