JEFF Burkin carded an outstanding 44 points to win The Herefordshire seniors' Tuesday stableford. Next were Danny Wright, 41, and Brian Welling and Roy Allen, both 39.
Burghill Valley ladies' nine-hole competition for the Canada Cup attracted a good entry of 46 and was followed by a festive lunch.
Glenda Sandford, 23 points, won the front-nine competition, while Viv Randall, 25, won the back nine. The drawn pairs was won by Ann Herbert and Sheila Glinos, 38, with Margaret Newcombe and Barbara O' Sullivan, 32, second, and Kay Davies and Kath Watkins, 29, third.
