Bumper congregations - In the wake of news that Herefordshire has
the highest church attendances in the country at Christmas, Kingstone is no exception. More than 220 people attended the Crib Service on Christmas Eve, and 78 came to the Midnight Service. This was an excellent turn-out for a small community. In the Crib Service, villagers were treated to a play by the Guides and Brownies, urging people not to let all the trimmings of Christmas hide the true joyful message. At the Midnight Service, the Dean of Hereford
expanded the theme, stressing that the biblical message of the Nativity is
very simple and undetailed.
