Valerie Butcher from The Mews Barbers Shop in Ledbury has supported Comic Relief since it first began in 1985.
This year is no exception, because not only will the hairdresser be wearing the red nose and wig today (Friday), she will also be contributing a day's takings to the good cause.
Valerie explained that she worked on a cruise ship in the 1980s and saw first hand some of the appalling poverty that existed then in some parts of Africa and India.
Since then, whenever Red Nose day comes around, the Ledbury businesswoman has never been found wanting.
