"Outstanding" is how Pencombe Primary School is described by Ofsted inspectors.
Their report praises headteacher Chloe Evans for her excellent leadership and management, which enables the school to provide a "very good curriculum, enhanced by excellent enrichment activities."
Inspectors found no significant weaknesses and highlighted the excellent links with parents.
"We're delighted with the report," said Ms Evans. "It acknowledges everybody's contribution, including pupils, staff, parents and the wider community. That's what we're about."
Mrs Evans said the school had an excellent inspection report in 1998, which she did not think could be improved upon.
"It was very difficult to maintain such high standards but we've managed to do that and build on it," she said.
Mrs Evans said a tree fell into the school grounds on the Saturday before the inspection but everyone pulled together to get it cleared.
