FORMER world number one darts player Ronnie 'The Rocket' Baxter (right) is playing a number of exhibition games at Ledbury Town clubhouse on Friday, March 25, starting at 7.30pm.
Baxter is a former BDO and WDF number one and has been twice runner-up in the Embassy World Championship and runner-up in the PDC World Matchplay championship.
Last year he lost in the semi-final of the Stan James World Matchplay to Mark Dudbridge and also reached the semi-final of the Skybet World Grand Prix, losing out to eventual winner Colin Lloyd in an epic match 6-5.
Blackpool-born Baxter will be playing 20 games on the night against local darts players who are playing off at the moment to win places.
One of the organisers, Colin Brandt said: "We should fill all the places but if there are any available on the night there will be a draw made.
"We are hoping to sell around 100 tickets and after expenses any profit will go into Ledbury Town funds."
Ledbury's own world-ranked darts ace Terry Jenkins is expected to be in attendance.
Tickets for the evening are available at £5 from Colin Brandt on 07951074013 (m) or Chris Stevens (01531) 631463 (evenings).
