ROGER Moran gave his new home-built Gould GR61X racing car its Nicholson McLaren British Hill Climb Championship debut at Loton Park last Sunday.
Orleton-based Moran qualified for both run-offs.
He finished fourth in the morning run with a time of 47.97 secs and fifth in the afternoon with 48.18.
Pete Bishop, from Monkland, won the class for modified 2000cc sports cars with 57.04 secs in his Westfield SEiW. Ross-on-Wye driver Paul Sandford clocked 52.55 in his OMS for second spot in the 2000cc sports libre class. And Barrie Lines, from Ledbury, drove his Pilbeam MP 43 to second in the unlimited sports libre class with 61.26.
