Pelsall Villa 2 Bromyard Town 3
BROMYARD showed a lot of character to twice came from behind to beat an enthusiastic Pelsall team and consolidate their position in the top half of the West Midlands League Premier Division table.
The visitors started badly and found themselves in arrears in the third minute when the home striker intercepted a weak, headed back-pass to nip in and open the scoring.
But Bromyard played their way back into the game when Andy Crowther headed home a Chris Allen cross to level in the 23rd minute. There was some doubt about the second Pelsall goal, with their striker appearing to handle the ball before firing home, but again Bromyard came roaring back.
A sweeping move, punctuated by some delightful passing, gave Tony McLean the opportunity to complete the first half with an equaliser.
Bromyard dominated play after the interval but found it difficult to break down the home defence until a speculative shot from Allen deceived the home goalkeeper and sealed a battling victory.
