The deficit would have been even higher but for a spectacular save from Swifts keeper Adam McTear.

After the break, Swifts bounced back in determined style and completely dominated the match.

Striker Asa Smith hit the post from 15 yards before reducing arrears with a volley into the top corner in the 69th minute.

Fellow striker Dan Herbert bagged a second goal five minutes later as rampant Swifts laid siege to the home goal.

Another dramatic comeback by the league champions looked in prospect when the home keeper appeared to commit a foul in the penalty area. Swifts' plea for a spot-kick were ignored.

Then with three minutes left the home side broke clear to score again and consign Swifts to defeat in the last game of an epic season.
