Ledbury Town failed to score for the third consecutive West Midlands premier division game at Goodrich on Wednesday evening.

GOODRICH 2, LEDBURY TOWN 0

Although Ledbury dominated much of the game they could not break down the stubborn nine-man defence of Goodrich.

The home side opened the scoring in the 10th minute when a defensive error left Town goalkeeper Craig Humphries stranded and the ball was fired in from 20 yards.

In the second-half, Ledbury were again on top but the chances that fell to Lee Hooper and Robbie Colwell were not converted.

With Mark Brooks and Stuart Hall dominating in midfield and with Ledbury enjoying most of the possession, it looked inevitable that an equaliser would come.

Against the run of play in the 75th minute Goodrich broke away following another error and made it 2-0.

Ledbury still pushed forward and continually probed the home defence but it was one of those games when the ball just would not go into the net.

Man of the match for Ledbury was Steve Olczak.
