Ledbury hit Wednesfield for six in this West Midlands League Premier Division Cup second round tie with some exciting play.

WEDNESFIELD 1, LEDBURY TOWN 6

With less than a minute on the clock, a pin-point cross from Dave Skipp found Robbie Colwell, who slipped the ball under the keeper to put Ledbury 1-0 up.

Lee Hooper made it two with a well-placed header from eight yards from a Stuart Hall free-kick.

Town keeper Craig Humphries was called into action when he acrobatically finger-tipped a dipping Kyle Brady free-kick over the bar.

On 16 minutes a mazy run by Dave Skipp was halted when he was upended on the edge of the box. From the Stuart Hall free-kick, Lee Hooper pounced to score his second and Ledbury's third.

Wednesfield reduced the arrears just before half-time when a Kyle Brady free-kick saw Anton Johns outjump the defence to head home from four yards. Moments later a superb one-two between Stuart Hall and Mark Brookes saw Brookes open his season's account, giving the keeper no chance from eight yards.

In the 52nd minute Oliver Thompson picked out Stuart Hall, who rounded the defence and squared the ball to Nick Bowin to blast home from five yards.

Oliver Thompson almost got himself on the score-sheet but his well struck volley smashed against the cross bar.

Ledbury's sixth came when Soctt Mason's probing ball found Dave Skipp who outpaced the defence and beat the keeper at the near post in an all-round impressive display by an in-form Ledbury.
