Ledbury Town, the only unbeaten side in the West Midlands Premier Division, extended their run to 12 matches with this 4-0 demolition of Lye Town at New Street on Saturday.

LEDBURY TOWN 4, LYE TOWN 0

Lee Hooper opened the scoring for Ledbury in the 15th minute when he lobbed the ball over the goalkeeper from 20 yards.

Five minutes later Robbie Colwell made it 2-0 with his 13th goal of the season after good work down the left flank by Gareth Davis.

The lively Lee Hooper was twice denied by the visiting goalkeeper before he scored his second of the game from the edge of the six-yard box to leave it 3-0 at half time.

Ledbury totally dominated the second half with man-of-the-match Nathan Haisley battling well in midfield alongside Hall and Smith.

The Lye goalkeeper was kept busy keeping out efforts from Volosonous, Hooper, Colwell and Davis before Lee Hooper scored with a low drive for his hat-trick.

Bromyard TOWN 0, LEDBURY TOWN 2

LEDBURY Town moved up to second place in the league table on Tuesday night with a 2-0 win at Bromyard Town.

The first half was an even affair with defences on top, although the lively Lee Hooper did have chances to score, but at the break it remained 0-0.

Ledbury came out more determined in the second half and the midfield of Davis, Gardener, Hall and Smith began to dominate the game. Davis went past several players before finding Hooper, who scored from close range.

Bromyard came back at Ledbury but with some resolute defending, visiting goalkeeper Humphries had little to do.

Then on 70 minutes it was 2-0 when a ball over the top found Hooper who ran on to score his ninth goal in nine games.

Man-of-the-match with an outstanding performance was Matthew Gray.
