MEMBERS of Civil Service Retirement Fellowship were enthralled by a talk and demonstration by Mr Jagger Laycock of his straw pictures.
He demonstrated lovely pictures made from straw - birds, eagles, blue tits feeding on a coconut shell, windmills, boats, leaves and many others. Mr Laycock brought along samples of the straw and grasses which he dries and irons and he showed them how he lays them out and also had some leaflets telling the history as well as how to make them.
