QUIZ – The quiz evening in aid of St James Church will be held at Burley Gate Village Hall from 7.30pm on Saturday. The cost is £5 per person, to include supper, but BYOB.
FRIENDSHIP CLUB – The Much Cowarne Friendship Club will meet at Stoke Lacy Village Hall at 10.30am on Tuesday.
Mrs Prendergast will be getting members on their feet with a combination of music and movement. Bookings will also be taken for the mystery tour outing on May 19. New members are welcome.
PARISH COUNCILS – The group parish councils for Ocle Pychard and Much Cowarne will both meet at Burley Gate Village Hall at 7.30pm on Tuesday. Parishioners are welcome to attend.
NATIONAL BEANPOLE WEEK – National Beanpole Week will be celebrated at Moreton Wood, Ullingswick, from 11am to 4pm on Sunday, April 26.
There will be face painting and other activities for children, a chance to meet local author Archie Miles, sales opportunities and the chance to take a spring walk through the woods. Call 07920 851674 for details.
