COFFEE MORNING – There will be a coffee morning and bring-and-buy sale at the Church Hall, Knighton, on Saturday from 10.30am to noon. At the event there will be cakes, books, bric-a-brac, a raffle and special treats on offer from the kitchen. Entry fee £1.
NEW CO-ORDINATOR FOR HES – Gary Cowell is the new local co-ordinator for HES Household Energy Service in Knighton, Presteigne and Bucknell. He will be sharing the role of local co-ordinator with Rachel Francis. HES provides carbon footprinting and free energy efficiency advice to people in their homes, helping them save money.
A training day for people who would like to volunteer as surveyors in their local area has been organised for Saturday at the Radnorshire Arms in Presteigne from 10am to 1pm with a free lunch. For details, call Gary on 01547 520374 or 01588 638738 or email info@h-e-s.org.
