EASTER FUND-RAISING ACTIVITIES – The Easter fund-raising activities of the PTFA of Ann Cam Primary School, Dymock, have raised nearly £400 in order to help benefit the pupils of the school. A fantastic night of bingo was held on Friday, March 27, and nearly £300 was raised. Younger players enjoyed a surprise visit from the Easter bunny, who provided lots of chocolate egg prizes. Andrew Winterbotham, chairman of the PTFA, said: “The evening was a huge success and I would like to thank Sarah Wood and Claire Beech for their support and enthusiasm in organising this fun event.”

Reception class pupils have also helped raise funds for the school, with a little support from their parents, by running an Easter cake stall. A huge range of delicious treats were sold and Class 1 raised more than £95.

The PTFA is now fully focused on the summer fund-raising event with a huge May Day celebration on Saturday, May 2. The PTFA urges those who would love to have a craft stall to call Andrew Winterbotham on 01531 890734 to book a space.

The PTFA is extremely important to the success of Ann Cam School. Over the last three years, more than £9,000 has been spent on improved computers for use by all pupils. It has raised £678 to run the school swimming pool and a further £1,642 in maintaining the pool for the use of pupils and the local community. It has also been pivotal in organising events and social activities for the local community, parents and children of Ann Cam School.
