LENT HUNGER LUNCH AT SPRINGFIELD – No-one could possibly have left Alan and Jen’s hunger lunch and still have been hungry. Alan estimated they served 20 pints of soup and many loaves of home-made bread; It was all very, very yummy.
The lunch was in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care. A total of £320 has been collected to date and there are still donations being given. Thank you to everyone who donated food and their time.

VILLAGE HALL 70TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION – Good news. After three weeks of hard work, the village hall is looking pretty good after its facelift, with new toilets and a great job of re-painting.
One more week of effort will get us ready for the 70th anniversary celebration in the hall on May 9. The Gentlemen of Jive will entertain us with their music to get us to re-live the days from the 1940s up to the present day and hopefully get us up to dance too.
