A HEREFORD woman who went missing from her home in December was found dead a month later, an inquest heard.
County deputy coroner Mark Bricknell said it was “highly likely” that 60-year-old Eleanor Price, of Poplar Road, Clehonger, took her own life.
But without proof of this “beyond a reasonable doubt”, he recorded an open verdict.
The inquest heard that police found Mrs Price’s car abandoned near the River Wye at Byford soon after her husband reported her missing.
A month later the body of Mrs Price, who suffered from depression, was recovered from the banks of the River Severn.
The inquest heard the cause of death was ‘unascertained’.
