GREEN Lane in Leominster is still closed following yesterday's major fire.
Firefighters are still dampening down following the fire which engulfed Old Fields Garage in Green Lane.
The surrounding area was sealed off and neighbouring homes were evacuated yesterday afternoon.
John Burnett, of Herefordshire Council, said Green Lane was likely to be closed until midday and the sports centre in Bridge Street had been used to provide food and warmth for evacuated residents until 8pm last night.
After this time residents had all managed to find friends and families to stay with, he said.
