Our recent meeting at Leominster Folk Museum was well attended. It is a credit to everyone involved for making the evening so enjoyable, thank you very much.

The recently refurbished premises looked splendid with a wealth of local artefacts on display. Scarlett Davis, our renowned local artist, has his own gallery which is well worth a visit.

An exciting new initiative which has been made possible by a Heritage Lottery Grant is to record oral histories from many of our older residents. This material is being carefully cross referenced to make it accessible. It will enable researchers interested in any particular subject to quickly see what has been recorded and access what is said. The use of archive grade digital recording media will ensure the information survives well into the 22nd century and beyond. The museum is open Monday to Friday, 11am to 4pm, and Saturdays, 10.30am to 2pm between Easter and October.
