A MAN who sent “grossly offensive” emails to cause anxiety or distress to recipients at Herefordshire Council has been given a community order.
Last month David Price, 41, from Manor Fields, Hereford, pleaded guilty to one count of sending communication of an indecent or offensive nature and one count of committing an offence while subject to a conditional discharge.
He sent the emails to Herefordshire Council from July 23 to September 6 last year.
The emails featured “indecent or grossly offensive” content, the Crown Prosecution Service said.

He was represented by defence solicitor Matt Lewis at the hearing in Hereford.
He previously pleaded not guilty to the charges, but changed his plea on March 26.
Sentencing him to a community order requiring him to complete up to 20 days of rehabilitation activities, magistrates fined him £50 and ordered him to pay a victim surcharge of £114 and prosecution costs of £185.
