RESIDENTS in Ross-on-Wye are mourning former town mayor Mike Jennings.
The 73-year-old, who held the post in May 1998, died on New Year's Day in Ross Community Hospital.
His widow, Maureen, said he was a lovely man, who was quiet, gentle and intelligent.
She said he will be be missed by a lot of people.
His funeral was due to be held at St Mary's Church in Ross at noon yesterday (Thursday January 10). and will be taken by the current Mayor, the Rev Derek Bedford.
