POETRY fans near Hay-on-Wye are looking to celebrate Burns Night differently this year - by hunting for haggis.

Locals at Painscastle's Roast Ox Inn will spend January 26, the day after the annual celebration of scottish poet Robert Burns, following clues to find mock versions of the meaty dish before enjoying the real thing at the pub afterwards.

The hunt will raise funds for the County Air Ambulance on behalf of the pub, which runs outdoor pursuits courses as the British Outdoor Professionals Association headquarters and training centre.

Entry costs £20 to include food, various prizes and a donation to the Air Ambulance.
