AN APPEAL to help fund a new cancer unit in Hereford has been given a boost by the Herefordshire Countryside Alliance.
Members and supporters of the alliance, in a celebration year, donated £265 to the Macmillan Renton Appeal, who hope to build a state-of-the-art facility for Hereford County Hospital.
Chairman of the countryside alliance in Herefordshire, Graham Baker, said: "This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Countryside Alliance, a decade in which much of the countryside has struggled.
"At the same time, however, some positive steps forward have been taken, and we are proud to be helping Macmillan's vital work."
