LADS Club saw their FA Cup qualification dreams handed a blow as they failed to take their chances in a 2-2 draw against Wolverhampton Casuals.

Manager Danny Moon has targeted an eighth place finish for his side, who currently sit in 11th, six points below their target with 10 games to play.

Lads Club went ahead in Saturday's mid-table clash through Rory Worthing's curled shot which nestled into the top corner.

However, Casuals responded 15 minutes later with the goalscorer cutting inside and beating three players before firing home. The same player then put the visitors ahead when an unfortunate bobble saw the ball loop over the goalkeeper.

Jamie Cuthbertson's header sealed a point, but Moon thought his side dropped two points.

"We missed seven or eight guilt-edge opportunities so we are to blame and it was our worst performance of the season," said Moon.

"We were very lacklustre and very wasteful and we have got to improve on it. For the last two years we have missed more than 50 per cent of our chances."

Despite it being their first season in the West Midlands Premier after being promoted last season Moon is hopeful of qualifying for the FA Cup.

"Unfortunately I'm one of those horrible people who thinks that we could do better," added Moon.

"The aim was everybody says to stay in the league but mine was to qualify for the FA Cup and you carry on and keep going.

"We're on the verges of it and have games in hand so it's about getting games in now. We have Tuesdays and Saturdays now right through until the end of April. We think if we get eighth we will qualify but it's very hard to work out because everything changes with the new step four league.

"We would like to have a go at promotion again next year but that's down to the quality of players and improving what we've got. Commitment is the main thing with a lot of our boys and they have got to edge that couple of extra days commitment."
