A HEREFORDSHIRE restaurant has been cooking up a feast to celebrate its success in a prestigious competition.
The Scrumpy House Restaurant and bar in Much Marcle is eyeing up a place in the national final of the UKTV Food Local Heroes competition after impressing with its tasty fare.
The Much Marcle business is one of five names in with a shout, while the Llandinabo Farm Shop in The Homend, Ledbury, has also made the Midlands final.
In a bid to bolster support and thank its fans, the restaurant treated a group of special guests to a congratulatory lunch on Tuesday.
They were one of 20 businesses on the regional shortlist, but made the last five after strong support from foodies on an internet vote.
The hard work really begins next Tuesday as they will be interviewed and filmed with top cookery author Silvana Franco. The finals will be screened on UKTV this autumn.
