A DECISION has been made to serve a notice to the owner of a building in Broad Street in Ross-on-Wye if they do not tidy up the frontage.
Herefordshire Council has decided to serve a section 215 notice on the empty shop, which is between Peacocks and the entrance to Croft Court Shopping Centre.
The notice will require the building to be "adequately improved so that it is no longer detrimental to the amenity of this neighbourhood."
A formal complaint was received in October 2017 in respect of the appearance of the ground floor but an informal resolution was unsuccessful.
The notice will require the re-painting of the window frames and door, the screening of the windows and door, and re-tiling where there are several tiles missing.
If the landlord makes changes in the near future, it may not be required to serve the notice.
