WELSH Water will this week start work on a scheme planned to deliver environmental benefits to Hereford. The scheme at Aylestone Hill will aid the first time connection of properties there to the city's wastewater network.
This is the first phase of a £1.3 million scheme, which is due to begin on Monday,July 16. This initial section of work involves laying approximately 500 metres of linking wastewater mains. Welsh Water has informed residents in the area who will be able to benefit from connecting their properties to the network as a result of the work.
Work will begin at Aylestone Hill before progressing to Walney Lane and Broadlands Lane. The first phase of the scheme is scheduled for completion in September.
Temporary traffic lights will be in operation, particularly from July 23, whilst work takes place in the highway, to minimise disruption and ensure the efficient and swift delivery of the scheme.
