POLICE are investigating two linked incidents where a woman was assaulted and the victim of racial abuse in Ledbury.

The first incident took place on Friday, June 29 at around 4pm, when the victim was walking through a wooded area off Little Marcle Road. Two youths were hiding in bushes and as the victim approached, one jumped out and hit her across the chest with a stick, before running off with the other youth.

The first youth was described as being around 14 or 15 years old with blond spiky hair, of medium build and wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans. His accomplice had dark hair and wore a hoodie and tracksuit bottoms.

The victim encountered the same youth who had hit her while walking on the grassed area at the junction of Victoria Road and Oatleys Road on Tuesday, July 3. The offender shouted racial abuse at the victim before running away.
