THE Hereford Times has been shortlisted for a Regional Press Award.
This newspaper is one of six in contention to win in the Weekly Newspaper (above 15,000) category.
Other titles shortlisted in the category are the Camden New Journal, Isle of Wight County Press, Kent Messenger, Maidenhead Advertiser and The Cumberland News.
Meanwhile, Paul Rogers, the Hereford Times' head of sport content has been shortlisted in the Weekly Sports Journalist of the Year category.
The awards are aimed at highlighting the best of the UK's local journalism and are organised by the Society of Editors and held in association with the Press Association, HoldtheFrontPage, the News Media Association and the Journalists Charity.
Prizes will be given out at a lunchtime ceremony at the Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel on Friday, May 19.
